Sally and Max Go on a Cruise

    16 Feb 2026 Sally & Max's Adventures

Sally and Max were so excited to be going on a cruise to an island beach with their Aunt Joanna. It was Aunt Joanna’s Birthday. They had never been on a cruise before, and they couldn’t wait to explore the ship and see all the different things there were to do.

As soon as they arrived on board, they went to their cabin to drop off their bags. They were amazed by how nice it was – there were bunk beds for them to sleep on, a small sitting area, and even a balcony with a view of the ocean.

After settling in, Aunt Joanna took them on a tour of the ship. They saw a giant swimming pool, a rock climbing wall, and even an ice skating rink! Sally and Max were so excited and wanted to try everything. The Captian of the Ship walked up and told my Aunt Happy Birthday and that there was a surprise for her!!

The next morning, they arrived at the island beach. As they stepped off the ship, they felt the warm sun on their faces and the sand under their feet. Aunt Joanna had packed a bag with sunscreen, hats, and towels, and they were ready to explore.

They walked down the beach, feeling the soft sand between their toes. Sally and Max couldn’t believe how beautiful the water was – it was a bright turquoise blue and so clear that they could see the fish swimming around.

Aunt Joanna suggested they go snorkeling, and Sally and Max were thrilled. They put on their snorkel gear and jumped into the water. They saw all kinds of amazing things – colorful fish, coral reefs, and even a giant sea turtle!

After snorkeling, they decided to take a break and have lunch. Aunt Joanna ordered a picnic with sandwiches, fruit, and cold drinks to be bought over. They sat on the beach and ate, watching the waves crash against the shore.

As the day passed, Sally and Max wanted to do more activities. Aunt Joanna suggested they try kayaking, and they were excited to give it a go. They paddled around the crystal-clear waters, exploring hidden coves and caves.

As the sun was starting to set, they decided to go back to the ship. They were tired but happy after such an amazing day. Aunt Joanna suggested they get dressed up for dinner and see a show on board the ship.

They went to dinner in the fancy dining room, where they ate delicious food and watched a magician perform magic tricks. Sally and Max were amazed by his illusions and couldn’t stop talking.. Then, the magician walks over to our table and asked my Aunt to help with his show. She said “YES” and ran on stage. The magician then said he was going to send her to an island far away in an instant. Then, Poof, nothing happened; she was still there. The magician said that she had been to an island on the other side of the world. Everyone laughed and said no. He said yes, and asked my Aunt to open her right hand, and out fell sand. Everyone was really quiet now, had she, in an instant, gone to the other side of the world? The magician then asked, do you need more proof? Everyone said, “YES!”. Now, Joanna, open your left hand. She slowly opened her left hand, and there was a key. The magician grabbed the key and walked over to a chest that had been in the room since we walked in. He then opened the chest and pulled out a picture of my Aunt in the Water with her eyes closed, holding a key in one hand and sand in the other. In the background, it looked like she was at the beach in Hong Kong; she was even wearing a bathing suit that we had never seen before.

Everyone gasped. She said no, and how did you do that, it must be photoshop, I don’t even own that bathing suit. He said, you still don’t believe me, well this time, the room was a bit quiet. The magician asks again, do you need more proof. Only my Aunt said Yes. The magician said, look at the suit, she said yes, that is not mine, he said, well, why are you wearing it. She looked inside her shirt she was wearing that bathing suit, and it was still wet. The magician said, happy birthday, maybe next time you can spend a little more time there!!

After the show, they returned to their cabin and fell asleep, dreaming of the island beach, the magic, and all the fun things they had done that day.

The next morning, they were sad to leave the island but excited to explore more of the ship. Aunt Joanna took them to a cooking class, where they learned how to make sushi rolls. They also went to the arcade and played games together.

As the cruise came to an end, Sally and Max knew they would always remember their amazing adventure to the island beach with their fun-loving Aunt Joanna.
