Sally & Max's Adventures
Once upon a time, Sally and Max were excited to go swimming with their cousin Stella and Aunt Joanna. They packed their bags with sunscreen, towels, and snacks, and headed to the local swimming pool.
As they walked towards the pool, Sally and Max noticed that Aunt Joanna seemed a little nervous. “What’s wrong, Aunt Joanna?” they asked.
“I’m just a little nervous,” Aunt Joanna admitted. “I learned how to swim in a lake when I was a kid, and I haven’t been to a swimming pool in a long time.”
Sally and Max were surprised. “You learned to swim in a lake?” they asked.
Aunt Joanna nodded. “Yes, I did. It’s different from swimming in a pool, especially off the side of a boat, but the basics are the same. Let me show you.”
With that, Aunt Joanna got into the pool and started to swim. Sally, Max, and Stella watched in amazement as she effortlessly glided through the water.
“Wow, Aunt Joanna, you’re really good!” Sally exclaimed.
“Thanks, Sally,” Aunt Joanna replied. “But it’s not about being good. It’s about being safe and having fun.”
Aunt Joanna then showed the kids how to float on their backs, kick their legs, and paddle their arms. Sally, Max, and Stella practiced their swimming skills, and with Aunt Joanna’s help, they quickly gained confidence in the water.
As they swam and played, Sally, Max, and Stella asked Aunt Joanna about swimming in a lake. She told them about the cool, refreshing water and the beautiful scenery. She also reminded them about the importance of being safe and careful in any body of water. She also reminds them to learn to swim before you on a boat and always wear their life jacket. It keeps you safe.
After a fun day of swimming, Sally, Max, and Stella were tired but happy. They thanked Aunt Joanna for teaching them new skills and for sharing her stories about swimming in a lake.
From that day on, Sally, Max, and Stella couldn’t wait to go swimming again and learn more from Aunt Joanna. And even though Aunt Joanna had been nervous at first, she realized that swimming in a pool could be just as fun and exciting as swimming in a lake.
