Sally and Max Make a new Friend

    16 Feb 2026 Sally & Max's Adventures

Once upon a time, there were two best friends named Sally and Max who loved playing by the lake. Sally and Max were very curious and adventurous, but there was one thing they were afraid to do – swim in the deep waters of the pool.

One day, as they were sitting by the edge, they saw a little girl named Lily. Lily was swimming in the deep waters without any fear, and Sally and Max were amazed. They had never seen anyone their age swim so confidently in the deep part.

Sally and Max watched Lily as she swam back to the edge. When she got closer, Sally and Max could see that Lily had a bright smile on her face.

“Hi there! I’m Lily,” said the little girl.

“Hi, I’m Sally and this is Max,” said Sally.

“We saw you swimming in the deep waters, and we were amazed. How did you learn to swim like that?” asked Max.

Lily smiled and said, “I started learning how to swim when I was really little. My mom and dad taught me, and I practiced every day until I got better.”

Sally and Max looked at each other and decided they wanted to learn how to swim too.

“Can you teach us?” asked Sally.

“Of course!” said Lily. “I can show you some of the things my mom and dad taught me.”

Lily spent the afternoon teaching Sally and Max how to float, kick, and paddle. Sally and Max were nervous at first, but Lily was patient and encouraging. With each passing minute, Sally and Max became more confident in the water.

By the end of the day, Sally and Max were able to swim in the shallow waters of the pool by themselves. They were so proud of themselves and grateful to Lily for teaching them.

From that day on, Sally and Max practiced swimming every day, and with Lily’s help, they improved quickly. They even started swimming in the deeper waters of the pool, just like Lilly.

The three friends had so much fun together, and they loved spending their afternoons swimming in the lake. Sally and Max were grateful for Lily’s help and couldn’t imagine how they would have learned to swim without her.

Thanks to Lily, Sally and Max had overcome their fear of swimming and discovered a new hobby that they loved. They learned that with a little practice and determination, they could do anything they set their minds to.
